Diving

What times do the boats lave to the dive sites?We make 2 trip everyday with 2 dives each trip. Morning dives leave at 07:30 and afternoon dives leave at 12:30. For night dives the boat leaves at 18:00.

What are the conditions lie underwater?Mostly shallow reef dives in clear, calm, warm waters.

When can I see Whalesharks?There is a possibility to see Whalesharks the whole but but the highest chance is from February to May.

Do I have to pay extra to rent equipment?No, complete equipment is included for all courses.

Do I get a discount if I have my own equipment?For fundives, yes there is a 15% discount.

Which tank valves do you use?Our tanks have Yoke vales but we have some DIN adapters if required.

Is Nitrox available?Of course, yes. There is an extra charge per tank for nitrox fills.

What is your safety protocol?Our dive school is a member of the SSS Chamber group, a fast speedboat transfer to the recompression chamber in Koh Samui (30 minutes) is possible if necessary. Emergency Oxygen and First Aid equipment is present in the shop and on all dive boats.

I have a medical condition, can I still dive?CLICK HERE to download the PADI medical form, if you need to answer "yes" to any of the questions please check with your doctor.

Are there any Sharks?Advanced divers sometimes have the chance to see Bull Sharks at Chumphon Pinnacle but don't worry there are more accidents with soda machines than with sharks!

Is there just spicy food?Thre is nearly every international cuisine on the island - there is something for everybody. To see our restaurant recommendations CLICK HERE

Do I need a visa?When you arrive by plane you get a 30 visa on entry for free, if you come across a land border you get 14 days. If you want to stay longer you should organise a tourist visa before you come, speak to your Thai embassy to discuss your options.

Currency?Thai Baht

Do they only speak Thai?No, most people on Koh Tao speak very good english also.

What is the best time to come to Koh Tao?Generally it's nice the whole year round. For more details CLICK HERE

Booking

When can I start my course?Dive courses start everyday at 16:00.

Is a taxi from the pier included?Yes

How long in advance do I need to book?We recommend at least 1 week in advance but we will try to accommodate you if you decide to come on short notice. CONTACT US about availability.

What do I need to do to secure a booking?We take a deposit of 10% to guarantee you course aand accommodation.

How can I pay?Deposit can be paid by Paypal or Bank transfer. In the shop cash or credit card (3% surcharge) is also accepted.

Miscellaneous

Are there ATM's, post offices, money-exchangers, medical facilities and police stations?Of course there are all the facilities you need on the island.

How can one get around on the island?There are bicycles, motorcycles and ATV's for rent (all models and sizes). Taxi-boats are available to take you around the island also.

I plan to stay longer on the island, are there any long term accommodations?Yes depending on what you require there are rooms for every budget.

How long is my diving license valid for?A lifetime!

I lost my certification card, can I still dive or take advanced dive courses?Yes all PADI divers are registered in a database and we can check your level of certification online.
